Monte Antelao is the highest mountain or pinnacle in the eastern Dolomites (a section of the Alps) in north-eastern Italy. A single, mighty rock pyramid also known as the “King of the Dolomites”.
Antelao is an ultra-prominent peak, or ultra for short, because its summit has a topographic prominence of 1500 meters or more. It is also called a P1500.
This photo was taken during the sunset on the final evening of my trip at the Dolomites in Italy.
